I owned and operated my own licensed home daycare of 25 children and three full time employees. I was responsible for the day to day duties in operating a daycare center. I modernized and improved operational procedures to increase efficiency and profitability while tightly controlling costs such as labor and preventing waste. I managed internal operational standards and productivity targets for marketing and advertising the daycare. I collaborated on strategies to enhance student learning and behavior alongside parents and teaching staff. I established and optimized program schedules to cover planned needs while capitalizing on opportunities to improve student learning. I hired and mentored well-qualified job applicants for teaching and support staff roles. I upheld sound financial principles to keep program operating within budget levels, maximizing resource utilization while minimizing costs. I strengthened community engagement strategies to boost program outreach across our 5 mile area.
